Much easier to look on the TAB site.. https://www.tab.co.nz/racing/index.html?action=schedule#2010-09-11-m4-r1 At the bottom it has the options like easy form and extended form, has all the track stats and course stats for the horses,or just click on the horse and it brings up it records..

or you could go to nzracing and download the racebook, its the actual racebook so if your really keen you can print it off and study it in bed, not that I've ever done that, my night life is far more exciting... not!!

Beep Beep, I sent you an email. But would like to report I had my very first ride back today, I feel a bit battered as so not rider fit & we went for a hill ride. Ankles were feeling it, but now just back muscles probably partly c-sect to blame but also cause I'm so unfit. Horse was good after her long break, but needs more outings as was a little overwhealmed at one point on the trek but I was with a trusty partner & we did a horse swap so I ended up riding most of it on the less bouncy fully dependable one ....

Do they still have Victoria Street Market or go to the Waterfront?
Reply
  kristina   Auckland  8:10PM    10-Sep-10
Museum is good too (if you're into museums) - free as well, and they have done heaps of renovations in the past few years. Victoria St Markets were rubbish last time I went to have a look a few years back, nothing like it was, er, many years ago when I was a teenager...

Last one was 10km south of belfast, which puts it pretty much right under my house in Papanui! You're safe for now :)

Well what a long week, I'm sure all CHCH people are feeling the same. Exhausted/heavy eyes, mentally drained. Can't say I enjoyed working on second level of building in Sydenham, with ground floor being tile showroom & being upstairs when the 5.1 hit on Wednesday at 7.48am. But hey, I should toughen up, there are others who are far worse off, thinking of you all :)

How much bone is a saddle hunter meant to have? Is it 9 1/2 inches? I can't remember.

How much bone. Not how much of a boner.. That would be rude. :oP And Mel, thank you for your sensible answer.

I was told recently that it's not so dependent on bone as such, more about type and way of going.

I'm gonna have to remeasure my 2 yr old irish hunter, did it the other week and I got nearly 10 inches...think I might need to have the tape tighter!

  Anne   North Canterbury  12:58AM    11-Sep-10
I'm really interested to know where the 'official' place to 'measure bone' is : I remember reading years ago, 'just under the knee', but it makes more sense to me to measure pretty much the middle of the cannon bone - ie the smallest circumference. For your horses with 10" or so, where are you measuring? My quite light-weight looking boy has (smallest circumference) of just over 8.5 inches, and the huge clydie cross (17.2hh) and really solid, has 9.5". The 3/4 ID boy has 9.25.
